2 countries in 4 days: Tour and Giro classics


Want to feel like a Pro riding in a stage race? This cross border adventure will allow you to see two European countries and flavour the food of Italy and France, think… pasta, polenta, pizza and lots of cheese.

We will cross famous Grand Tour cols, the scene of many famous battles. Colle delle Finestre where Chris Froome won the Giro and the Galibier has been the for many a Tour de France stage. There will be two summit finishes on Col de Granon and Alpe d’Huez, recent Tour stages have seen Vingagaard beat Pogacar and Tom Pidcock triumph on these two finishes!

Programme

Arrival day: Bike assembly and test ride

Ride day 1: Bourg d’Oisans - Termignon (Col du Galibier): 114km & 2970m elevation gain

Ride day 2: Termignon, France - Pregalato, Italy (Col du Mont Cenis & Colle delle Finestre): 83km & 2990m elevation gain

Ride day 3: Pragelato, Italy - Col du Granon, Serre Chevalier, France (Colle de Sestiere, Col de Montgenevre & Col du Granon): 77km & 2250m elevation gain

Ride day 4: Serre Chevalier - Alpe d’Huez (Col du Lautaret & Alpe d’Huez): 78km & 1980m elevation gain

Final day: Return home

Who is this for?

Do you want to cycle in two different countries? If climbing and descending hairpin bends on classic Tour de France and Giro d’Italia climbs is your thing? This is the week for you!

Level required

This is a stage tour, this week we will be moving from place to place each night just like a stage race.. You need to be able to ride over 2000m per day and 100km distance on consecutive days, this is a challenging but rewarding tour with a mixture of Italian and French food and cultures.
