Tour de la Chartreuse: Monastries and Cols


Come ride on roads frequently features in the Tour de France and Critérium du Dauphiné. The Chartreuse has typically steep gradients and stunning vistas with alpine meadows and snow capped mountains. Local produce includes many varieties of cheese and the eponymously titled world famous liquer.

Ride day 4: Rest day or Charmant Som

Ride day 5: Le Désert d'Entremont

Ride day 6: Col du Coq - arguably harder than Alpe d’Huez 13km average at 8%, how will you find it?

Final Day: Return home

Who is this for? What level is required?

Steep and challenging riding difficulty. If 10% gradients and sweeping bends are your thing, this is your week! Typical rides will involve 1800m of climbing and 80km distance. The minimum ride features a minimum of 1000m climbing. The Tour de Chartreuse is the classic three Col loop, 92km and 2200m of climbing.

This week can be tailored to non-cyclists. We can organise hikes, spa treatment and visits to Monastries.
